10 Months Old Already!

Madeline is 10 months old today...and she's sick :( We took her in to see the doctor today. Turns out she has an ear infection and a mild case of bronchiolitis (a.k.a. RSV). Which means she has a runny nose, slightly wheezy, yucky cough, isn't sleeping well, irritable, cranky,...oh and she's teething!! The doctor gave us an inhaler for her wheezy cough. Which we only plan on using if she gets worse. We kind of like to do things naturally around here. And since this thing just has to run it's course we are going to try to make her as comfortable as we can without the use of drugs or inhalers. We bought a humidifier and the doctor also sent us home with a syringe and some saline drops for her nose...that should be fun :) As for the ear infection I plan on putting some breastmilk in her ear.......yes I said breastmilk...I heard that it helps. I've actually heard that it can help heal a lot of things. We also have some colloidal silver...it's a natural antibiotic. I think those few things and lots and lots of cuddling will help our little girl feel better....oh and lots of prayer of course!

A squirrel, bird, raccoon, skunk, or caterpillar...?

I enjoyed reading your guesses. I'm happy to say that it is not a raccoon or skunk. I don't think I would find one of them quite as cute. We have had a few caterpillars in our house actually...and no it wasn't one of those. I wish there were more birds hanging around (I plan on getting a bird feeder soon).

My little friend is a squirrel. The very first time I saw him he was hanging onto the tree trunk upside down looking directly into my kitchen window.

So I looked into what he might like to eat and let Delia throw sunflower seeds and walnuts in our front yard to lure him...er I mean feed him. I'm pretty sure he thinks our yard is awesome. Why else would he come back everyday?

And sometimes he scampers up the tree and eats his little treats up here.

My little friend needs a name. I've been calling him Mr. Squirrel but that just isn't cutting it. When I asked Delia what his name should be she said, "Hekabada". Madeline just looked at me like I was crazy when I asked her. So now I need your help. What do you think I should name him?

Say Hello to My Little Friend...

Do you ever get the feeling that you are being watched? I get this feeling quite often when I'm standing in our kitchen. I almost always have the blinds open or all the way up and our kitchen window faces the street. Right in front of said window is a tree. Quite often my little friend is staring at me from that very tree. He likes to stare at me upside down. It's actually very cute. And just the other day I caught him lounging in our tree. I do know why he comes. Since I had seen him around I decided to research what he might like to eat....so Delia and I scattered a few of his favorite things in our lawn...in hopes that he might come visit us. It has worked. He visits almost every day. When I first sat down to write this post I was going to post pictures and a little video montage. But instead I'm going to request that (for those of you who don't know already) you guess what my little friend is. I know kinda silly...but I don't care.......so there you have it. I have probably left too much information on him but nonetheless it will be fun to see what you come up with.

My Bella Bows

My Bella Bows is a store on Etsy where a friend of mine sells her sweet little hair creations. You will find lots of pretty accessories for your little cutie's hair as well as something for you. She sells hats, clips, headbands and very soon ties for your adorable little guy! A while back she asked if she could have Madeline model some of her baby things...I of course said YES! So now my little peanut is not only on her Etsy page but also in a super big children's store called, Goores. We just had another little photo shoot last week. Madeline did so well and I absolutley love all of the pictures. The photographer is awesome...check her out here. Here are a few pictures from the first photoshoot. I can't remember when these were taken. But I would guess that Madeline was about 3 or 4 months old in these.

Yes I know she is adorable....! I'll try to post some of the new pictures soon.
