Baby T. Minus 18 Weeks & Counting

JUST THE FACTS, MA'AM (feeling a little under the weather and I didn't get around to posting this yesterday)

We are 22 weeks today.

Baby T. is about 11 inches or roughly the size of a spaghetti squash.

His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct.

FOOD CRAVINGS

Anything Rachael Ray makes on her cooking show....

FOOD AVERSIONS

This isn't really an aversion BUT maybe if I put it hear I won't eat it anymore......

SWEETS, PROCESSED JUNK, AND ALL THAT OTHER UNHEALTHY STUFF!!

My new goal: As of April 1st I will no longer buy any food that is processed and unhealthy....sure there are a few things I will still buy, like cereal for example but for the most part I'm staying away from the bad stuff!

REASONS WHY I KNOW/THINK IT'S A BOY (besides the ultrasound pic)

This has nothing to do with the fact the he is a boy but he seems a lot more mellow than the girls....he moves around a lot but not as much as the girls did. Even during the ultrasound he was face down (facing my back) and was giving the ultrasound tech. a hard time because she couldn't get a good picture of his face/profile. Maybe he'll be a super cuddley and calm baby.......one can only hope! :)

Baby T. Minus 19 Weeks & Counting

JUST THE FACTS, MA'AM

We are 21 weeks today.

Baby T. is about the length of a carrot.

Baby T's getting bigger and stronger...just ask the inside of my uterus.

Baby T's eyebrows and eyelids are present now.

Baby T's regular sleep cycle and dreaming is established.

We've had a name picked out for a boy since before we knew Delia was a girl. And that name is..........

Jude Robert

Jude because we like it and Robert because that is Jake's middle name. Delia (a.k.a. our oldest daughter) has my middle name and so our first son will have Jake's. Also we like to use family names for middle names. :)

FOOD CRAVINGS

Summery foods and fruit

FOOD AVERSIONS

This isn't really an aversion BUT maybe if I put it hear I won't eat it anymore......

SWEETS, PROCESSED JUNK, AND ALL THAT OTHER UNHEALTHY STUFF!!

*Again....not doing so well on that. I have started this week off better though......so far.

REASONS WHY I KNOW IT'S A BOY (besides the ultrasound pic)

Now I don't know how true this is or if it means anything at all....but I feel as though I am carrying Baby T. differently than I carried the girls.

BABY BELLY @ 21 WEEKS

& yes my belly button is sticking out but it never actually went back in after Delia so........yah!...it's kinda sorta always sticking out....you just can't see it unless I'm pregnant.......:)

Baby T. Minus 20 Weeks & Counting

JUST THE FACTS, MA'AM

Maybe one of the most important facts........or at least the most fun.............

We told the ultrasound tech. right away that we wanted her to write the results on our little card.

She agreed with a smile. She also agreed to tell us to look away any time she was in that "area".

When we were done she put our little card back in it's envelope and she even separated the ultrasound picture of the "area" from the rest of them and put it in another envelope....(it was hard not to peek)

Then we took the little card to the "bread store" (that's what the girls call it). The owners plan was to make a white bread with either blue or pink coloring, blueberries or cranberries and white chocolate chips. The next day I picked it up and they (he made two!) looked delicious.

Saturday we drove "home" and had dinner with as much family and friends as we could. Then it was time to cut in to the dessert....which had also been covered in a delectable cream-cheese frosting.

...cutting...cutting...cutting...

It's BLUE!
BLUE = BOY

So there you go folks.......IT'S A BOY!
..................................................................
We are 20 weeks today. That means half way through!!

Baby T. is about the length of a banana.

Baby T. is producing meconium but we won't see that til HIS first dirty diaper.

FOOD CRAVINGS

None.

FOOD AVERSIONS

This isn't really an aversion BUT maybe if I put it here I won't eat it anymore......

SWEETS, PROCESSED JUNK, AND ALL THAT OTHER UNHEALTHY STUFF!!

....hmmmm darn that sweet tooth of mine!
REASONS WHY I THINK IT'S A BOY

I don't just think it's a BOY...........I know it's a BOY! hehe

I'm Not A Hippie....But....

This is going to be a quick post and just answers to some questions that you've asked. Last week I didn't post anything because Jake was actually able to take his usual Friday off....which hasn't happened since December. So therefore we were hanging out as a family and I didn't "make time" for the blog. =)

And this week has been very busy with lots of different things going on....like trying to stay on a schedule and keep the house clean and laundry caught up.....and doctor appointments and the BIG ultrasound!! (which went really well by the way...stay tuned for the big reveal this weekend)

So that is why this post will be a quick one!

Here we go...

Question:

What type of toothpaste do you use?

Answer:

The brand we use is Weleda. For the girls we use Weleda Children's Tooth Gel. Jake uses Weleda Salt Toothpaste. The Salt toothpaste is a little too salty for me so I use a combo of the Salt toothpaste and Weleda Calendula Toothpaste. I just squeeze a little bit of both and get the benefits of both. As usual the taste is always something you have to get used to. I'm sure there are others out there that are good. All you have to do is read the ingredients to make sure. Also, flossing is important and something I don't do enough...just ask my dentist....I have not tried any natural/organic floss yet.....but will probably buy some the next time I order other stuff.

Question:

Do you have any recommendations for hairspray?

Answer:

Well...I do not use hairspray and haven't used it for many years. When I was growing up...now that was a whole different story. The door to our bathroom was so caked with hairspray that you could practically see yourself in it. It was shiny. Come to think of it that's probably why the door eventually wouldn't close all the way! ;)

If I were to recommend any type of hair care product I would say...Aubrey Organics. And yes they make hairspray...and here it is. I actually plan on trying this out next time I order b/c occasionally it would be nice to have especially with Delia's super fine flyaways.

Question:

Do you have any recommendations for water filters?

Answer:

Honestly, we just have a Brita Ultramax Water Dispenser. I suppose not the best b/c it's plastic but better than drinking from the faucet. I like having the dispenser in the fridge b/c it keeps the water cold, it's easy to fill up and stores a lot of water. Plus it doesn't take up that much room in the fridge.

Keep the questions coming! And please leave me a comment if anything I've written is incorrect..........cause I'd hate to be giving the wrong information!! And I'm still learning about all of this stuff too.......so please tell me!

Baby T. Minus 21 Weeks & Counting

*sorry this is late and for not posting last Friday...... :)

JUST THE FACTS, MA'AM

We are 19 weeks today.

Baby T. is about the size of a large heirloom tomato.

Baby T's arms and legs are proportional to the rest of his/her body now.

This is the time that Baby T's hair will start growing...I wonder if he/she will come out practically bald like Delia or with a head full of dark hair like Madeline.

The BIG ultrasound is in 3 days. However we are not going to be finding out right away. Our plan is to have the ultrasound tech. write the results on a card. Then we will be taking that card to our favorite place to buy bread (Great Harvest Bread Co.). They have agreed to make something sweet and yummy for us. They will be making the inside either blue or pink. Then when we cut into it later we will find out if Baby T. is a boy or a girl! :) Oh and we got this idea from a friend who found out the same way. I think it's fun and can't wait til we find out!!

So far the votes are:

7 - Boy
5 - Girl

Will you be right???

FOOD CRAVINGS

Nothing new. Just good food and it's a definitely a plus if I don't have to make it.....which doesn't happen very often....but I'm not complaining cause I like to cook.

REASONS WHY I THINK IT'S A BOY

One word. Indigestion. I didn't get it with either of the girls. But the last two days I've had it at night.... :(

Baby T. Minus 22 Weeks & Counting

JUST THE FACTS, MA'AM

We are 18 weeks today.

Baby T. is about the length of a bell pepper.

Baby T's busy flexing his/her arms and legs....which is the best thing to feel :)

Baby T's ears are now in their FINAL position.

We find out the Baby's sex in 10 days!!!...March 11th to be exact! Don't forget to vote.

My next appointment is March 11th after the big ultrasound!

FOOD CRAVINGS

I still haven't had Chipotle....yes still....but I don't seem to crave it anymore.

I made Jake get me Taco Bell (which I always end up regretting...it's just so not good, yah know) for lunch the other day.....yes I made him leave work and get it for me....well not really made him but I asked him and he said "Okay."

Late last week I wanted good yummy food that I didn't have to eat or clean up after...so on Saturday we went to BJ's with friends and my mom (who surprised me with a visit!)

FOOD AVERSIONS

This isn't really an aversion BUT maybe if I put it hear I won't eat it anymore......

SWEETS, PROCESSED JUNK, AND ALL THAT OTHER UNHEALHTY STUFF!!

*well that didn't exactly work last week....maybe this week....?

REASONS WHY I THINK IT'S A BOY
